I thought I'd experiment with a link post. I am still writing abut my own experiences with AI dev tools and it's taking longer than expected, so here are some links (mostly but not exclusively science and tech-related) that I have found interesting recently.

Simon Wardley wrote about his personal lessons learned building systems with AI tools. Among many other achievements, Simon coined the term "conversational programming" many years ago, and I continue to think that is a far more apt and useful term than many of the others that are used in the AI-tool-assisted-development space currently, and we should revive it!

A couple of loosely-related topics: Matt's take on the tooling space is amusing and Deirdre is insightful as well.

AI prioritisation does not improve cancer diagnosis speed (it doesn't improve "lunch" either, according to the AI-based autocorrect, which I suppose is technically true).

Wake up babe - new hand-sized 42T magnet just dropped. Net-zero policies remain very popular with the public, dark money continues to try to astroturf them as unpopular. Major geophysical survey begins at a Welsh castle that nothing remains of above ground. World's longest coast path opens, traversing the entire coastline of England and Cornwall.

Catalonia news roundup: Catalonia's oldest man turns 110 and recalls his days fighting the fascists in the Spanish Civil War. Bears emerge from hibernation. Barcelona residents resist predatory behaviour from private equity.
